- I will trust you all.

- Go then! If you are one who would not fight for his own home, you are not welcome at our side. – said Charles
- Leave! Quickly go, out of our sight! – screamed Henry
- I’m sorry things turned out this way… - Adrien tried to apologize, in tears
- Not more than we are. – said Daniel, in a half-whisper
- I’m so sorry… - Adrien cried as he turned away and left, almost in a hurry
His three old friends just gazed at a broken dream. Each one of them would die alone that night. But, before the sadness of that disappointment could overtake them, there was a loud voice of command from Daniel’s mouth:
- Barricade the inner doors! Set the oil pits, and raise all our banners from the all sides of the castle. Let them know we are ready for a war!
All soldiers who heard the command shouted a compliant salute, which took over the entire construction, as big as it was. Still, Daniel could hear Henry tell him, truly:
- Thank you.
- No time for gratitude. There’s much more we need do here before we are worthy of it.
- Pray fortune, stay at our side! – Charles said, then set his hand between them for their last war cry
Before the sun had set on the horizon behind them, the coming night announced the arrival of the army of all furies and despair. Then, rose Lady Death, to be witness to her children’s bravery before she helped them with the transition.
